We all suffer. We all doubt. So why do we have such a hard time dealing with it? Doubt is a dirty word in Christian community–we’re told we must be certain of our beliefs. But certainty is an emotion. Admitting doubt, some say, reveals weakness in faith. Well, I’ve never met a strong believer in Christ who hasn’t wrestled with suffering and doubt. Doubt is the opposing force that strengthens faith, like barbells for weightlifters.
So how do we do it? How do we properly confront our suffering and doubt? How do we survive these dark seasons? Paul’s letter to the Philippians offers us an effective and super practical solution. Click the video to hear it.

Adam, I really needed to be reminded of these truths! I have been in a situation for 7 months in a new job that is not the blessing I thought it was going to be. I wasn’t looking for a new job, but this employment listing came to me via e-mail, it sounded like a great opportunity, it was more money with plenty of room for advancemet. I prayed about it, I accepted it and I quickly found out that More Money is not More Better! LOL The stress and challenges are unbearable at this point. Another listing came to me yesterday via e-mail and it is one step closer to where I want to be, but doubt creeps in and I wonder if it could be worse than what I have. I am struggling with trusting God that if He opens this door I won’t be stepping out of the hurricane and into a tornado. Since I have become a medical coder, I have not had to look for a job at all, but I am still seeking the company that is worthy of me. Employers want to know what you have to offer them, I know God made me exceptional at what I do, and I just want to find the exceptional company in which to do it. Throwing over the anchors and praying to run aground in the right place at the right time! Thank you for your timely message! I miss you guys! Love you guys!
Thanks for sharing Tammy. Miss you too!
